Violet’s wish to protect her dragons and family accompanies a mission to find allies for Navarre. In Onyx Storm, she must venture beyond the failing Aretian wards into unfamiliar lands. Rebecca Yarros’s third Empyrean novel follows Fourth Wing and Iron Flame in the continuing series.

Secrecy adds another risk to that mission. Violet may have to keep a secret capable of destroying everything. Enemies closing in from outside the walls and inside the ranks also make it difficult to know whom to trust.
