Accessibility
Checked accessibility measures, known limitations and help with reading AzonLinks or reporting an access barrier.
Last updated:
1. Scope and review date
This statement covers the public AzonLinks website at www.azonlinks.com, published by Merito Media LLC; see the Legal notice. The statement and limited review are dated 21 October 2026.
The sample included the home page, library, an ISBN search, categories, the book Los barcos se pierden en tierra, one editorial guide, the link generator, Contact, Spanish and English terms and BC's initial sign-in screen. A desktop menu, advanced search, language selector and cookie preferences were checked. Authenticated BC and editorial administration were not fully evaluated. Unassessed services are not automatically exempt, and results do not cover every page or all 19 languages.
2. Reference and status
W3C WCAG 2.2 informed selected structure, keyboard, focus and contrast checks. See the W3C preliminary checks. There is no complete evaluation supporting global WCAG or A, AA or AAA conformance. This is not certification or an external audit. No screen-reader testing or testing with disabled participants was performed.
3. Verified measures
- On the home page, the first Tab exposes a visible skip link. Activating it and pressing Tab reaches main content.
- Enter opened the desktop Books menu; Tab reached its links; Escape closed it and restored focus. This does not establish touch-menu behaviour.
- The library search and advanced filters have labels. Enter opened advanced search; ISBN 9788420475059 returned the matching book.
- An invalid generator code produced an explanation and focused the field. A valid ISBN produced a text link and focused the success heading, without creating an alias or account.
- The language selector and cookie dialog opened and closed with Escape. Cookie settings restored focus to their opening button; dialog and analytics-option names were checked.
- The sampled cover has an identifying text alternative and the book title appears as text. The map has a written address and the QR has a text URL.
- Calculated stylesheet contrast against white: #142737 15.27:1, #536473 6.11:1 and #087b59 5.27:1. These are selected colour combinations, not every state or image.
- A results heading has been added before library book headings to identify their group.
4. Known limitations and alternatives
Mixed languages — identified: navigation remains Spanish on the English terms page. This can affect understanding or pronunciation, which was not screen-reader-tested. Use Spanish if helpful or specify the text and language needed in Contact. Translating this statement does not translate the whole interface.
Contact form — identified: the sampled first Typeform question is English. The embed depends on JavaScript and its provider. If the embed is difficult, open the standalone form. This is the same service. The form is the only published channel for these requests; no alternative is confirmed if its standalone version is also unusable. No resolution date is agreed.
Not yet evaluated: BC authentication, full recovery, account management and statistics; mobile navigation, touch interaction, 200%/400% zoom, assistive-technology reading and every offer-table state. These are evaluation gaps, not proven failures or verified accessible features. See BC help.
Contact-form submission and its confirmation were not tested.
5. Formats and external services
The editorial sample contains text, links, covers and an offer table. The selected book and guide had no audio/video player; this does not cover other pages. Downloads, captions, transcripts and every image description were not audited. The generator's text URL is available without using its downloadable QR. Identify a difficult item and a useful alternative format; immediate conversion is not guaranteed.
Contact loads Typeform and Google Maps on opening. The address can be read without using the map; external form and location links are available. Shops and sources are separate destinations reached by following links. Third-party provision is not an automatic exclusion of responsibility.
6. Environment and methods
Desktop integrated browser on Windows NT 10.0, build 26300; manual keyboard use, visual and accessibility-tree inspection, HTML/CSS review and PHPUnit functional tests. The review tool does not expose a verifiable browser version. Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape and field input were used in the named components. Contrast was calculated as above. No screen reader, touch device or WCAG certification tool was used. Functional tests are not an accessibility audit or universal compatibility guarantee.
7. Reporting a barrier
Use Contact or the standalone form. If possible, provide the page URL, intended action, what failed, device/browser or assistive technology if known, and a useful information or response format. Include a reply method if wanted.
No diagnosis, disability evidence, health data, screenshot or attachment is required. Do not send passwords or unnecessary personal documents. See Privacy.
8. Handling and alternatives
Requests arrive through the AzonLinks form. A URL and specific step help investigate; relevant additional information may be needed. No specialist accessibility unit or fixed response time is confirmed. Identify the information and format you need; this does not guarantee immediate conversion or replace fixing barriers. Reading this statement requires neither analytics consent nor a BC account.
9. Preparation and later review
Prepared on 21 October 2026 through limited internal technical review of code and the stated sample. Document-update and evaluation dates may differ later. No audit schedule, unagreed deadlines or comprehensive state coverage is claimed. Unassessed functions and contact limitations remain open; measures are verified only within the stated scope.
10. Rights and complaints
This reports observed status, not legal compliance or exemptions. The publisher is a private US-based entity; public-sector administrative procedures are not assumed from the site's language. Contact does not waive applicable rights or routes to competent bodies or courts. Official US web-accessibility guidance is general information, not an individual legal assessment of AzonLinks.
